Cosmelan is a clinically proven, two-phase treatment designed to dramatically reduce and correct all forms of hyperpigmentation, melasma and uneven skin tone. Your Consultation

Every Cosmelan journey starts with a thorough consultation. We'll assess your skin, talk through your concerns and goals, and answer any questions you have along the way. From there, your therapist will explain your full treatment plan in detail, including how your skin will need to be prepared beforehand to ensure the best results. You'll leave your consultation with a clear, personalised roadmap so you feel fully informed and confident before starting.

Phase One: In-Clinic Application

Your treatment begins in clinic, where the Cosmelan mask is professionally applied to the skin. The mask is left on for 4 to 8 hours before being removed at home following your therapist's instructions.

Phase Two: Home Care and Ongoing Support

Following the in-clinic application, you'll continue your results with a structured home care routine using the Cosmelan products, alongside daily SPF. This home care phase is essential to the treatment's success and must be followed for a minimum of 6 months to achieve and maintain optimal results.
Due to the strength of these products, both in clinic and at home, we guide you through every stage of your plan. Throughout phase two, you'll return to clinic for three LED light therapy treatments, giving us the opportunity for regular check ins, to monitor your progress, and make any adjustments to your home care as needed to ensure optimum results.
This treatment does require some downtime, particularly in the days following application, and it's important to follow all aftercare instructions carefully for the best possible outcome.

Before the treatment:

  1. At consultation your skin will be assessed to decide whether this treatment is suitable for you.
  2. You may be asked to prep your skin with specific products for 2 - 4 weeks beforehand to prime your skin.

Here's what you can expect:

During the in-clinic application

  • Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared
  • Improved Pigmentation & Faded Melasma

  • You will leave the clinic wearing the treatment and it will remain on your skin between 8 –12 hours at home (we will let you know how long to leave the mask on)

Removing the mask (at home)

  • You will rinse off the mask at home with lukewarm water. Your skin will likely feel tight, sensitive, and look red immediately after removal
  • Apply the provided home care products straight away

The first week

  • Significant redness, dryness, and peeling are completely normal and expected
  • Your skin will feel sensitive and may feel like a mild sunburn
  • Peeling typically kicks in around days 3–5 and can be quite intense
  • Makeup is generally not recommended during this phase
  • Most people take a few days off work or social commitments during peak peeling
